The babies

Image
She knows the doggy beds, she knows the couch....so naturally why not figure out this little hooman's bed too? When I put my daughter to bed, I'm afraid I'll come out to the living room to find things strewn and scattered across the floor that she chewed up, or some puppy mess. (It's been quite some time since I've had a puppy).  But THIS eliminates that risk when she's laying with us while I put her down.  Of note, this was taken after I already left and showered and she was still laying there and she stayed next to her hours after until I decided to let them out for the night.  Be still my heart!! I love these moments!

Playing with toys and Graham

They play like this all the time and even into the late evening when the baby is asleep and I have to remind them it's quiet time. She's solid so she doesn't know that her steps are very heavy and when they dash back and forth, they are having the time of their lives, but loud nonetheless. lol

Who is Tracey?

Image
She is a spunky, curious, snuggly puppy who is learning to enjoy all the space a home has to offer so she can run back and forth and explore all day long.  She loves a playmate and is learning to communicate her boundaries and how to share a lap of a human.  She loves sniffing with her nose in the carpet and head down making sure she gets every inch of the room she is exploring. She is food driven so it'll be great for training. She even tries to polish off what Graham doesn't eat. She's quick to see what the baby has available that she may forget and leave out too. lol And when she's done with ALL of that puppy stuff, she's perfectly fine chillin in that new spot she found the first night.

Tracey didn't take long to warm up

She left her little safe spot under our dining room table and has never looked back! After a while she started following me to the bathroom in the room just to see where I was going. Then to my daughter's room to see what was there.  Then she took her treat and started chewing it where Graham was laying.  THEN ... She discovers the couch....and the warm cozy blanket...and it was over.  The first time she discovered it, she sat way at the edge and still leery of us. Then her butt fell off. Didn't stop her from walking right back on. By the end of the evening, she found her NEW spot.

Coming home with a puppy

Image
I picked this sweet little miss up today and was told the puppies have been spoiled and haven't really been outside.  Explains the complete fear of the leash and having no idea how to walk on it.  Day 1. ... Shy, sweet, contemplative but you can see it in her eyes when we play with our dog, she wants to play, she wants to explore.  She ate her food, drank her water, and just chilled in the dining area watching..... We can't wait to see her personality :)

First day shy

Wanted to grab a video of her first day and how she'll open up once she gets used to the space and us. She has her reservations, but she's definitely interested.
